No rest for the wicked, as the ladies first team hosted University of Leeds at home on Sunday morning for their second match of the weekend.

Yet again it was the opposition who opened the scoring. Regrouping quickly, the hosts responded through Vicky-Louise Whalley-Jones, who scored not just once, but went on to bag a hat-trick. However, it was not to be Kendal’s weekend. Despite Nicola Hartley making a superb keeper debut, and Libby “Fire” Thwaites finally available to play her first game of the new year, the visitors used their holistic stick skills to create an advantage before the game ended in a frustrating loss for The Greens.

Final score- Kendal Ladies 1s 3 – 5 University of Leeds Women’s 1s.
