The team started the weekend with a Friday night Pizza bonding meal! To make the line up and some tactics shared to be a bit more visual, the team board is now complete with individual images linking with each player. Who knew Delbridge had amazing drawing skills!!

Our match against Whitley Bay, being second in the league, was always going to be a tough one. They didn’t disappoint, being very well drilled and never stopping moving up front! The game was hard going in the first half as Whitley Bay scored 6 goals.

Half time: Kendal 0 – 6 Whitley Bay.

The great crowd of spectators were unwavering in their support for Kendal which helped to lift the team for a much better second half. With a more aggressive and attacking outlook the second half was much closer with Whitley bay only scoring one goal and Kendal coming close on a number of occasions. Glad to see Nicola Martindale back on the pitch, we have missed her shouting and calm head on the ball. Player of the match this week was Alex Richardson, who made some great runs into space to receive the ball and had some close chances of scoring. Thanks to all the supporters that came down, it is much appreciated by all the team.

Full time: Kendal Ladies 1s 0 – 7 Whitley Bay and Tynemouth Ladies 1s.
