Last time the teams met Ambleside won 3-0 and the fixture always promised to be hard fought by both teams. Kendal were strong from the start taking the game to Ambleside and creating chances from the start. Scoring was opened by Beth Hoggarth with a well worked goal. The second goal came before half time by Sarah Brooks. In the second half Kendal continued to make use of their substitutes to keep fresh legs. Ambleside were awarded a penalty corner and pulled a goal back. Kendal were then awarded a penalty corner and after a strike at goal the ball fell to Becca Camp who was able to slot it home to make the score 3-1. Ambleside kept up the pressure but Kendal defended well. In the last 2 minutes Ambleside scored a 2nd but weren’t able to score a 3rd before the final whistle. Final score 3-2.
