Kendal travelled to Dalston on Saturday morning with 11 players including 5 juniors. Kendal started with some strong passing play working the ball to the front. A right side pass from Kirsty Hayton gave Hannah Cartwright the opportunity to open the score sheet. Kendal continued with the pressure and Elsie on the left was able to capitalise to make the score 2-0. Dalston made a couple of breaks but these were defended well by Lucy and Gemma solid as ever at the back. Kendal broke again allowing Vicky Atkinson to sweep the ball in from her reverse stick. Dalston worked hard to break and were able to find their centre forward who was able to strike a goal home to make the score 3-1 at half time.
After the break Dalston came out strong and put the pressure on the Kendal defence. This resulted in a further goal making the score 3-2. Kendal kept their heads despite the heat and having no substitutes. Claire Mason on the right made a magnificent run finding Vicky Atkinson who was able to push the ball home and extend the Kendal lead. Kendal kept up the pressure and Hannah Cartwright hit home her second on the day to make the final score 5-2.
