The first half kicked off with Kendal on the front foot. Passing well and working together, the home side moved the ball and looked for opportunities to breach the Rochdale back line. However, it was the visitors who struck first, and second, delicately crafting themselves a two goal lead. The Greens refused the give up and Aaron Screen put Kendal back in the game when he latched onto Chris Woodman’s cross and slipped it under the keeper.
